My workshop is situated in a beautiful part of rural Devon close to the Somerset border near Bampton, which is unspoiled, five miles fromExmoor. It is adjacent to our own house and in the middle of grassfields.

The teaching workshop, where hand work is done, is light and airy, with central heating and (essential in the South West) a de-humidifyer.I go to great lengths to acclimatise timber before sending finished pieces to clients. Its also more comfortable for us! It has capacity for four students at any one time though I nearly always teach on a one to one basis.

I have a separate machine workshop equipped with planer/ thicknesser, bandsaw, panel saw (Wadkins), lathe and crosscut saw etc.

The machines are maintained to the highest standards, and in the interest of safety you will not use them until you have had tuition on their use from me. Both workshops have modern and efficient dust extractor and air filtration units.

Workshop times are from 8.30am to 5.00pm. There are lunch making facilities including a small oven, toaster and kettle, and ginger-nuts in the workshop.
